Create a new "meta-physical" form

1

Elizabeth Czerczuk's artistic ambition is to create a new form of theatre to match the widening of our minds, so crucial in our time. This new form is inseparable from a deep-rooted research of the emotion and a total investment : vocal, gestural, choreographic and emotional. This artistic melting pot is the sign of a new era where all experiments are possible. The TEC is no poetry of language, but a poetry of space and movement. She is searching for a way to express herself through her body, to be independent from the language and its meaning. The stage of her theatre is a place where every night brings something unique for the actors as well as for the audience.

Breaking the dualism between the stage and the public

2

The TEC is a place of dialogue with the public. The staging pulls the spectator away from distant position. The stage and the room merge into one space, where the performance embraces the audience. The purpose of this work is to find a way to touch each spectator individually. He is surrounded by simultaneous actions which tremble in the music and the light. The purpose is not to convey a message but to restore the lost link between the audience and the actors for one moment of harmony. Each spectator can create his own performance: the one he desires. Elizabeth Czerczuk evolves on the path of a theatre full of danger and passion. Each performance is one of these you can't come out of unscathed.

Promoting the Polish and European cultures

4

The ambition of the TEC is also to show the French audience what the Polish-inspired theatre is like. Great playwrights and artists such as St. I. Witkiewicz, W. Gombrowicz, St. Mrozek, J. Grotowski, T. Kantor and H. Tomaszewski will be celebrated on this stage. Thanks to its collaboration with the Polish Institute of Paris, the TEC also offers readings of the contemporary playwrights Mr Walczak and Mr Zdunik who contribute to the renewal of the international theatrical scene, thanks to the themes they explore with humour and absurdity. Because of this ambition of promoting the Polish culture, the theatre organizes meetings, debates, exhibitions and screenings of Pole artists to show the cultural wealth of Poland.
